NATURAL SKIN GLOW

Good Afternoon Little Cherubs, I hope your are having an amazing lazy Sunday, I know I am! :)
In the Spring and Summer period I am all about healthy glowy skin. This tutorial is a very light and natural look, perfect as the weather starts to get warmer. Its good for coverage as it gives the appearance your skin is just naturally perfect and healthy. Its not a lot of makeup so it will not feel cakey or layered on your skin. This look is perfect for an everyday routine as its light but its also very neutral and pretty so it wouldn't cause any problems at work or school.

Black & White

Hi My Loves, I am absolutely in love with these trousers, they are a very thin silk like material and have a very unique pattern. They come high waisted but they are easily worn more on the waist. I bought these specifically for my holiday as I knew it was going to be cooler in the evenings. It is a matching set but I wasn't too sure it would look too much with the top as well. The set is such a good price at £20, the trousers being £12 and the top being £8 which I purchased from Tesco's so it caters for all shapes and sizes.

To glam up this outfit I wore these black block sandals, a tied vest top and a black bum bag which is one of my favourite things. A dark eye, a bold pink lip and a slicked backed Fishtail Platt adds a bit of colour and edge.

Holiday Smart

First of all let me apologise for not posting for a while, I've been a little busy with work. I am now on holiday in Turkey, so I am currently laid in sun by the pool, sorry if it's rubbish weather in England :/

Last night was our first meal out and I've got to say I wasn't best pleased with my lasagne, however me and Alex grouped with my Nana and Mum who are on holiday as well. Drunk Nana is always an amusing experience.

I thought I would go for more of a smart casual look for my first outfit of the holiday. It's a little chilly in the evenings so this long cardigan kept me warm but is very light weight. Even though it's grey the colours complimented each other very well, allowing the orange crop top to contrast against the outfit of choice. For accessories these black block sandals and this black glitter clutch just pulled it all together.

I hope you like this outfit, it's a nice and summery but it could easily work in any season. I bought these white jeans in the winter so it's all about personal preference.

Chiffon Shirt Dress

Recently I have been shopping for holiday clothes as I am going away to Turkey in a few weeks. I bought this chiffon shirt dress from Primark and I am absolutely loving it. I have not worn it yet as everything I buy I am saving for my holiday. This dress is so feminine and elegant and I am so glad I picked it up, I wasn't too sure whether it would look too old or suit my shape. It is a soft checkered chiffon material in dark blue and white with buttons all the way down the front. It comes with a navy slip as it is quite see-through and a slimline tan belt, whether you want to keep the belt depends on personal preference but I think it breaks up the blue, adding a nice contrast for this floor length piece.

The dress is very low priced as Primark is known for and only costs £13.00. I have seen other floor length shirt dresses in higher market high street shops like Topshop and River Island and I can imagine they will be at least triple the price. I put on some strappy black block heels from New Look but I think I would definitely like to try some tan heels to match the belt and pull the outfit together.

I think this piece is very versatile, you could dress it up with some heels and a clutch bag, wear on a sunny day with some sandals as it is very lightweight and loose, or wear for work with some smart shoes. When I buy clothes especially for a holiday I like to choose pieces that are versatile as sometimes the weather can turn on you or something can happen which you don't expect, so call this my safety option.

I put my hair up in a little messy bun so you are able to see the whole collar of the dress and how well it fits on the shoulders. If you like dresses like this then I definitely advised to check this dress out. I am so happy with this purchase and at £13.00 you just can't complain.

Have a good week!

New Look Pure Colour Lipsticks

Lipsticks have definitely got to be one of my guilty pleasures, you don’t always have to spend a lot of money to buy decent products. I own all different brands of lipsticks right from the High Street brands like Makeup Revolutions which cost only a £1 to High End Brands like Estee Lauder that Cost £25. Obviously you can tell a difference between these products however you cannot knock the cheaper brands. I am always on the lookout for cheaper products to try out. In the past this has worked out so well and I have found some amazing products.

For Fashion New Look is one of my favorite High Street Clothing stores, especially for shoes. Last week I was buying some clothes and when you queue up there is a makeup stand with so many products and vibrant colours. On the top shelf were these Pure Color Lipsticks in several different colours. I tried one just as I was standing in the queue waiting to see if they were any good, the pigmentation in them is incredible and they are beautifully moisturized. They would be a perfect dupe to a MAC lipstick, that’s how creamy they are and at £3.99 I was sold. They come in a black smart box and then the lipstick packaging is a matte black lipstick case, very smart and sleek.
Sweet Rose - Shell Pink

I decided to buy two different pink shades, I really liked the Apricot colour which is a really nice nude like colour however in that shades the lipsticks had all been used. The two pink shades I bought are Sweet Rose and Shell Pink. They are very neutral pinks so not too in your face for day to day, work or school. Sweet Rose is more of a darker pink shade and Shell Pink is a very pretty girly pink. Sweet Rose - Shell Pink

If you like MAC lipsticks then I suggest you try these, especially if you are looking for a cheaper option that is still going to give the same results

Curly Hair Care Haul and First Impressions

I have been looking for the best product's for curly hair for quite a while now. My method is a mixture of my natural curls and Curling Tongs, however I was starting to notice that my hair was starting to look frizzy. To find the perfect product you can continually research to look for reviews, but everyone's hair is different so just because it works for someone it doesn't necessarily mean its going to be the perfect product for you. Trial and Era is my method of finding products that work for me.

On my way home I stopped by Boots to find some good products for my curly hair. I was looking for some Hair Spray, Curling Crème, Definition Curling Spray and Shampoo and Conditioner. After mooching around Boots for as long as I could before they shut I bought the products listed below and used them the very same evening.

L’Oréal is one of my favourite high-street brands and I have seen this hair spray all over the TV and advertisements. I bought the biggest can you can purchase as it was three for two so I thought I might as well. It feels really lightweight on your hair, not sticky but provides a good hold. It keeps my curls in for a while before they start to drop which will eventually happen due to the length and weight of my hair. The only thing I didn’t think about when buying this can size is that I have quite small hands, so it does get a bit difficult when spraying my hair and holding the can with the same hand. I sometimes have to move to both hands which starts to look a little weird. Its a nice lightweight product with a firm hold and non sticky so I completely understand why this hairspray is one of the more popular choices.

This spray I absolutely love, it defines my curls perfectly. I spray it on my newly washed hair when its damp, along with the Umberto Giannini Curl Friends Crème and it smells lovely. Perfect for ringlet curls or wavy hair. I did slowly blow-dry my hair upside down and it made my hair feel thicker and gave it more body. So if you have thin hair it might be worth trying this product to add some body and volume into your hair.
This crème feels like a moisturiser, it is very thin in consistency and doesn’t feel sticky at all. I decided to try this as the sales assistant in Boots advised me that her mum uses this range for her curly hair and swears by this cream. It smells lovely and just glides through your hair. This product combined with the John Frieda Frizz Ease Dream Curls Styling Spray gave my hair instant volume. Even if your hair isn’t curly but you like a full body head of hair I would 100% advise you to try this combination.
This shampoo isn’t the best shampoo I have ever tried. I had to use quite lot for it to even cover all of my hair. Yes I have a lot of hair but it didn’t even make my hair feel nice. As I was rubbing the shampoo into my hair I noticed straight away that it made my hair feel so dry, almost straw like. I think the packaging is beautiful and instantly gives it a high quality product appearance, but in my opinion this shampoo does not work for me. I think I get better results with my original Tremsemme Shampoo, even if this shampoo was to be amazing for curls I cannot get around how it makes my hair feel. I would not recommend this shampoo but if you love then please leave your comments below.

As I said above the packaging for this Hair Care range is just too beautiful. The pink packaging just instantly caught my attention. The conditioner made my hair feel so much smoother after applying the dreaded shampoo, however I wouldn’t necessarily buy it again. I didn’t notice any drastic difference to non-curling conditioners I have used.
It was not my plan to buy this shampoo but I am so glad I did. I know a lot of people who use the silver shampoo to instantly brighten their hair instead of constantly colouring their natural blonde. I did not think I would see an instant difference as it says use twice a week on the bottle but this stuff is incredible. I noticed that my hair was so much brighter and trust me when I say, a small amount goes a long way. A small amount of this shampoo covered my whole head of thick hair and as I kept rubbing it into my hair the lather of the shampoo just got thicker and thicker. I would 100% advise that you try this if you want to brighten your hair.

I hope you enjoyed this Blog Post!

Coral Blossam

This look is a very easily wearable look for school, work on just on a daily basis. The purple cut crease has become one of my go to as its relatively subtle but also adds a hint depth to the eye area.
The coral lipstick is very moisturising and it doesn't make your lips look dry or unhealthy. The Purple and Coral colour compliment each other so well as the purple isn't too harsh. I think if you were to wear a dark or bright purple smokey eye with this lipstick it would definitely look too much, especially for a work place or school environment. As much as I love a dark smokey eye and a bold lip combination, it just isn't right for certain workplaces. It could easily give off the impression that you are trying too hard and plus I like my bed in a morning.

The products I used for this look are mostly highstreet products so its easily achieved on a budget. The two products that are not highstreet products are the Naked Skin Concealer from Urban Decay and the Exceptional Definition Mascara from No7. It all depends of your view on highstreet as you can purchase these either at boots or House of Fraser which are considered to be highstreet, but they are generally higher priced brands. The the Naked Skin Concealer retails at £17.50 and the Exceptional Definiton Mascara at £10.00.

The lipstick and palettes that I used are both highstreet and can be purchased in most Superdrug stores. The Sugar and Spice Blush Palette (£6.00) and the Hot Spoke Eyeshadow Palette (4.00) are both from Makeup Revolutions and are incredibly priced for the quality of these palettes.

The MUA Lipstick in the shade 16 Nectar is such a beautiful and bright colour and at a £1.00 they are a must have for beauty lovers, I have a lot of their colours in my collection.

I hope you liked this blog post and this easy to wear makeup look.
I hope your having a nice Saturday!!

Valentines Evening

Black Crop Top - Toshop/Midi Skirt - Miss Guided/Shoes - Topshop/Jacket - H&M

When February comes along most couples either go out for dinner or have a cosy night in together. Mine and Als valentines day was a real last minute thing. I am a little sceptical when it comes to Valentines as its become huge commercial holiday as everything increases in price so it can become a very expensive night out. I believe you should show your love to your other half on a daily basis and not make it more apparent for one day although I will not deny valentine surprises are really nice.

Every year Al choses the restaurant and plans everything so this year it was left to me and its safe to say I left it a little late. We ended up going to the Italian Restaurant Prezzo. The food was really nice, I had Prawn Chilli Linguine and Al had Crab and Lobster Ravioli in a creamy sauce.

The prezzo we went to was a small restaurant so it was relatively quiet, enabling us to have a nice meal and just be with each other. After all thats what its all about.

I hope you had a lovely Valentines Day whether you went out, had a cosy night in with your other half or spent it with Friends and Family. The day is a bout love no matter who you chose to spend it with!

See you soon!

Hollywood Glam or Soft and Sheer | Valentines Day Makeup

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day I decided to create two different makeup looks whether you are going out with your boyfriend or spending the night with your girls. These looks are very different, one is very soft and the other is going back to old Hollywood Glam. I used mainly high-street products, the only high-end products I used are Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer and the Urban Decay Naked Palette 3.

I wanted to make a ‘Holiday How To’ Video for my Youtube Channel but unfortunately I didn’t have the time to make and edit.

The first look is soft and elegant with gold and glitter tones. It’s all neutral colours with a peach toned cut crease for definition. Under the water line there is a subtle line of gold to shine through the dark black lower eyelashes. I did not use fake eyelashes, to be honest I don’t wear them at all as they tend to irritate my eyes. My face and brow routine is as normal and I added a nice peach blush to the balls of the cheeks, and a highlight to the contour areas of the face to offer a flawless finish to the skin.

The Second look is a very bold glamorous Hollywood style. This look is too much for some people, me being one of them so I tried it with a dark red and a light nude lipstick to tone it down. The eyes have a chocolate brown cut crease with a contrasting cream eye base and a drastic winged eyeliner.  I played around with light contouring and bronzer for this look as I my hair is in a tight bun, defining the features of the face.

The red lip looks incredibly glamorous however I think for me personally the eye and a bold lip combination is too much, however for some people it’s within their normal routine. To show this I changed the lip colour to a light nude which is less in your face and more wearable. This also makes the eyes the main attraction of this look.

Metallic Midnight

A Bold Smokey Eye is one of the most requested tutorials and looks, it can transform you from a Plain Jane to the Black Swan.

This dark midnight blue smokey eye is a beautiful dramatic eye with silver, blue and metallic tones.

For a classy look I finished it off with a Audrey Hepburn styled updo and jewelled earrings. This way the eyes become the main attraction, this look would be perfect for an event or a night out.
